I am a photographer who seeks out the beauty in what's really happening throughout your wedding day!  Most of the time you won't even know we are there... and when you do, we'll be having a good time together.  After all, what you want is someone to make beautiful images that are natural and unique.  Images that will tell your story and will forever capture the spirit of you and your day.  And that's exactly what we are all about!

Since we limit the number of weddings we shoot each year, we are able to stay fresh and creative.  We strive to do something new and innovative at each event.  Each couple is so different, why shouldn't their photographs be, too?

We are available for travel worldwide.  All-inclusive destination wedding/honeymoon packages are available upon request.  These packages just don't cover your wedding day, they cover the week.


Meetings by appointment only.

Booking:  As of January 1st, 2006 all bookings will be done on a first come first serve basis.  Any interested parties that are interested in our services that have received an unsigned contract via email should consider that a quote only.  Your wedding date will not be held. 

Any clients that receive a signed contract by "life in a flash" via email should consider is as an agreement on our part that your date is held, and we are under the impression that you want to move forward and book with us.  Therefore, any clients that receive a signed contract has 7 days to respond with a deposit and signed contract returned to us.   After 7 days, your date is not held and could be taken by another interested party.

Our Style

There are two main types of wedding photography styles; traditional and photojournalistic. The traditional style is where the subjects are aware of the photographer taking their picture, and the photographer tends to be more of a "director." The photojournalist style is characterized by the subjects being unaware of the images being made, whereby the photographer tends to be more of an observer, much like a magazine reporter.

Both styles can be black and white, color, sepia, special effects, or, as is usually the case, a combination of these modes. The difference between the two is basically the subjects' awareness; doing posed shots or merely recording the day as it unfolds.  Our style combines these two approaches. Our preferred mode is the photojournalistic style, but certain wedding elements lend themselves to photographer set up, (such as family groups, wedding party), and these shots are posed, planned to minimally impact the time constraints of the day. Other wedding day elements, such as the ceremony, pre ceremony, and reception, lend themselves to more of a photojournalistic approach.
